How to Register

Registration  
Spring Semester: registration begins in October.
Summer and Fall Semesters: registration begins in March.

NOTE: New students, returning students (absent from IECC for two or more years), and IECC graduates must complete the admission process before registering.

All entering freshmen should register and attend the new student orientation session scheduled by the college if they are enrolled in a degree or certificate program.

Ways to Register

In-Person

Visit one of our Registration and Records Offices located within the Student Services Building/Offices.

Self-Service

FIRST, you must have an active Entrata account and meet with your academic advisor. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian's signature is required to complete your registration. Click here for self-service registration steps. NOTE: Not all courses are available for self-service registration. Courses that are less than seven days in length (ex. RST 1601 and EPP 1203), courses that have individual start and end dates, or courses that have special registration requirements or restrictions may not be available in Self-Service.

Mail or Phone

Call your college’s Registration and Records Office to make arrangements to complete a mail or phone registration. Registration is complete when your registration form is returned to the Registration and Records Office.


Registration Information by Student Type and/or Course Type

Certificate/Degree-Seeking Students for CREDIT Courses
Make an advisement appointment with your academic advisor and meet every semester prior to registration. Register by any method identified above.  

Non-Certificate/Non-Degree-Seeking or Transient Students for CREDIT Courses    
Register by any method identified above. Courses with prerequisites must be approved by an academic advisor. 

Personal Interest NON-CREDIT Courses 
Register by any method identified above; note that not all non-credit courses are available through self-service registration. Contact your college’s Registration and Records Office with any questions about registration.

High School Students

  • Dual Enrollment – A current high school student registered for an evening course (no high school credit earned.) Registration is completed in conjunction with the admission process in the Registration and Records office. It's highly recommended that you meet with an academic advisor prior to registration. If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian signature is required to complete your registration.
  • Dual Credit Students – A current high school junior or senior registered for a college course that earns both high school and college credit for that course. Registration is completed in conjunction with the admission process. Dual Credit registration is held at the high schools coordinated by the high school guidance counselors and the IECC Registration and Records Office.
