Title IX - Preventing Sexual Misconduct

In compliance and support of the Title IX federal law, the Board of Trustees of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District #529 is committed to preventing and responding to incidents of sex‐based harassment, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, or stalking.

Title IX additionally requires that schools not discriminate on the basis of sex. IECC's policy on nondiscrimination is available here.

The Board of Trustees of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District #529 is committed to preventing and responding to incidents of sex‐based harassment, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, or stalking.  The Board has adopted the Preventing Sexual Misconduct Policy and Procedure (100.31) which outline the standards of conduct for all members of the IECC community, including employees, students, contractors, and visitors.  Click here to view the complete policy and procedure.

A victim of Sexual Misconduct has a right to report (or not report) the incident to Illinois Eastern Community Colleges.  Click here to view the Notification of Rights and Options, including resources to assist a victim of sexual misconduct.

The Mental Health Toolkit includes resource information on sexual assault counseling, advocacy, and support available from local service providers, CAISA and Safe.
