LTC, IECC Celebrates Adult Education and Family Literacy Week
September 19th through September 23rd, 2022 is Adult Education and Family Literacy Awareness week. The Illinois Eastern Community College Adult Education Program is committed to helping students succeed and strengthen their communities. By providing students with an opportunity to receive free High School Equivalency classes that focus on academics, college and career readiness, and English as a Second Language classes, IECC offers individuals a chance to reach their goals.

Constitution Day is Saturday, September 17, 2022 (www.iecc.edu/usa). Illinois Eastern Community Colleges will recognize the day on Friday, September 16th in the following manners:

Priority Deadline October 28
OLNEY, Ill. — Frontier Community, Lincoln Trail, Olney Central and Wabash Valley colleges are encouraging high school seniors to apply before the October 28 Priority Deadline to ensure they are first in line for scholarship dollars.  Last year, Illinois Eastern Community Colleges awarded more than $272,000 in Success Scholarships to 408 area students.

LTC Hosting Flute and Guitar Concert
The Arts at Lincoln Trail College will present an evening of guitar and flute music featuring Michael Patilla and Sophie Kershaw-Patilla. The concert takes place on September 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the Zwermann Arts Center Theater.   The concert features music by William Beauvais, Mauro Giuliani, Nikita Koshkin, Manuel Ponce, Andrew York, and others.

Brooke Olaivar, the director of The Arts at Lincoln Trail College’s production of The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong, has announced the cast for the show.

OCC Community Choir Rehearsals Start August 23
Olney Central College Director of Choral Activities Dr. Andrew Pittman is excited to announce that the OCC Community Choir will start its 12th season with rehearsals at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23. The first rehearsal will be very informal: some light singing, dates and registration, followed quickly by a pizza dinner. After a fantastic performance of the Many Moods of Christmas last year with full orchestra at Richland County High School, the OCC Community Choir will return to its own charming little theater with some lighter fare of Holiday Pop tunes and traditional favorites.
