The IECC Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is here to support your professional development journey. We're excited to offer you an array of valuable courses and resources to enhance your teaching skills and expand your knowledge.

To ensure a seamless experience, we want you to go through the same admission and registration process as the students in your classes. Please follow the steps below:

  1. 🌟 Apply and create an IECC student account by visiting our website.
  2. 📝 Register for the relevant CETL courses that align with your professional development goals.

 

Below you will find steps for registration.  If you have previously filled out an IECC student application before please click on "I HAVE Filled Out An IECC Course Application Before". If you have not filled out an IECC student application, please click "I HAVE NOT Filled Out An IECC Course Application Before".

Easy Registration Process!

Attention instructors:

If you already have an account created, you're just a few clicks away from registering for your desired courses through Entrata. Here's what you need to do:

  1. 🔒 Login to your account on Entrata.
  2. 🖱️ Click on the STUDENTS tab on the left-hand side.
  3. 📝 Select REGISTRATION from the options on the right-hand side.

It's as simple as that! You'll be on your way to exploring a world of knowledge and enhancing your teaching skills.

Easy Steps to Enroll!

  1. 👉 Go to www.iecc.edu/apply and click on Frontier Community College (regardless of your campus).
  2. 📝 Click on CREATE ACCOUNT and fill in your basic information:
    • a. Name, Email, and Birthdate
    • b. Enter Current Term
    • c. Admit Type = I already have a degree
    • d. Location = Frontier Community College
    • e. Program = Voc Skills General VS-VSKGE4
    • f. Set your password and click CREATE ACCOUNT
  3. ✅ Click CREATE NEW APPLICATION and complete the application.
  4. 📧 After completing your application, check your email (from accounts@iecc.edu) for ENTRATA portal setup instructions.
  5. 🔐 Set up your ENTRATA portal following the instructions provided.
  6. 🖱️ In Entrata, click on the STUDENT tab on the left and select REGISTER FOR CLASSES.
  7. 🔒 Your PIN for this semester will be the last two digits of the SPRING semester of the academic year followed by the semester signifier (10 for summer, 30 for fall, and 60 for spring). For example, the pins for academic year 2024-2025 will be 2410, 2430, and 2460.
  8. 📚 Pick your classes from the list below and use Self-Service to Register for your upcoming training.

Here are some the important details about the Orientation Course:

  • 🎓 This course is asynchronous, self-paced, and delivered via the dynamic Canvas platform.
  • ⏰ You'll join a defined cohort with specific start and end dates, creating a supportive learning community.
  • ⏱️ It'll take approximately 4 hours to complete, ensuring you have all the essential information at your fingertips.
  • 🚀 Before your first day of teaching class(es) at IECC, make sure you have selected and completed an Orientation course cohort. Check the CETL website for cohort start and end dates. We want you to start off on the right foot!
  • 💰 And here's some exciting news: Upon satisfactory and timely completion of the Orientation course, you'll receive a generous $125 stipend. That's a great way to kick off your adjunct faculty journey!
  • 🌟 Please note that the Orientation course is required for all new IECC adjunct faculty. We're committed to providing you with the best support and resources.
  • 🎉 We'll fully waive the tuition and fees for the Orientation course. We want to invest in your success!
  • 🔍 The CETL (Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning) will closely monitor and report your course progress to the Deans. Your achievements will be recognized!

  • 🎉 That's not all! Upon timely and successful completion of TIER 1 - EDU 1600, you'll receive a next step pay increase of twenty dollars per equated hour.
  • 📚 For example, if you're currently being paid $535 per equated hour, you'll enjoy an increase to $555 per equated credit hour.

Exciting Badging Opportunities!

Get recognized for your educator excellence!

By completing the IECC Orientation course, TIER 1 - EDU 1600, and TIER 2 - EDU 1605, you can earn the prestigious Educator Excellence Badge and unlock TIER 3 of training.

To achieve the Educator Excellence Badge, adjunct instructors must:

  1. Choose an upcoming course to be evaluated within 12 months of satisfactorily completing the TIER 1 - EDU 1600 and TIER 2 - EDU 1605 coursework.
  2. Use the Educator Excellence form to request a course evaluation date and time.
  3. Complete and submit the Self-Evaluation form by emailing it to cetl@iecc.edu. Make sure to download and save the Self-Evaluation .PDF document to your personal computer before completion.
  4. Coordinate the evaluation date collaboratively with CETL and the adjunct instructor.

Tier 3 Professional Development Opportunities!

Continue your professional growth with Tier 3 courses!

Once you have successfully completed the Educator Excellence Badging process, it's important to engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay up to date in your field. As a condition of continued employment, adjunct faculty are required to earn a minimum of 1 credit hour of Tier 3 or above professional development every two years.

The CETL is dedicated to providing a wide range of educational opportunities and Tier 3 professional development courses for adjunct faculty to choose from.

Benefits of Tier 3 professional development include:

  • Receiving a $300 stipend upon the completion of 1 credit hour of Tier 3 professional development. Please note that a maximum of 1 credit hour is reimbursable every two years.
  • Next step pay increase of twenty dollars per equated hour upon timely and successful completion of a Tier 3 course.
  • Eligibility for the Tier 3 base pay increase, which will be effective at the beginning of the semester following the completion of Tier 3 course(s) totaling 1 credit hour.
  • Full waiver of tuition and fees for Tier 3 courses.

It's important to note that adjuncts are only eligible for this Tier 3 base pay increase once.

The CETL will closely monitor and report your course progress to the Deans.
