Careers

A graduate of OCC’s Collision Repair Technology Program will have the potential for employment as a Collision Repair Technician, a Painting Technician, and a Frame and Alignment Technician.

Collision Repair Technicians

Collision Repair Technicians repair damaged bodies of cars and light trucks, work with all body parts and sections, and repair or remove damaged sections. Cosmetic repair of minor body panel damage is a major task for the repair technician.

Painting Technicians

Painting Technicians complete the refinishing aspect of all repairs on cars, trucks, boats, fleet trucks, and other units. They will also do all stages of priming, sanding, and sealing prior to the paint application; determine the type of color of paint to complete the refinishing; and become familiar with the mixing, tinting, and shading, as well as the application of color for matching of OEM finish.

Frame & Alignment Technicians

Frame and Alignment Technicians straighten, weld, replace, and align all types of frames, suspension and unibody structure of cars and trucks to ensure that the vehicle is repaired as close to OEM specifications as possible.
