Shasta Bennett

Shasta Bennett joined Olney Central College as an instructor in 2003.

Shasta attended Eastern Illinois University where she earned a bachelor's degree in Career and Technical Education with an emphasis on business. She received a master's degree in education in Global Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois.

Shasta has worked in both financial and medical institutions. She holds Microsoft Office Certification in Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. 

"I feel my strong leadership and motivation skills assisted in my decision to go into education," she said. "My experiences working within office settings as well as interest in management have supported my efforts."

Amie Mayhall

Amie Mayhall has served as an instructor at Olney Central College since 2003. 

During her career, she has been a high school business educator, held management positions within the hotel and restaurant industries and served as a comptroller within the auto industry. She authored co-authored a textbook with McGraw-Hill.

Amie earned both a bachelor's degree in business education and a master's of business administration from Eastern Illinois University. She holds numerous credentials including Microsoft Certification in Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. She is a Certified Coding Associate and a Registered Health Information Administrator.

"I always wanted to teach at the community college level," she said. "With my background in business and my years of experience in the business world, it was a perfect fit."
