Digital Photography Class Being Offered at OCC
You can learn to take photos like this one by enrolling in Olney Central College’s digital photography class.
This course covers the entire digital photography workflow, from capturing great pictures to sharing them with your friends and family in new creative ways.
It starts at the very beginning by first showing you how to set up and use your digital camera and all its features. Then you will learn how to get your digital photos from your camera to your computer so you can organize, edit and share them.
The class, HUM 2198 Topics/Issues in Humanities (Digital Photography), will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays with local photographer Tim Dunahee teaching.
The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the features and functions of digital cameras and their use. After this class, students will have a better understanding of the basic concepts and procedures that make great photography, as well as the skills you need to edit and manipulate previously unusable photos by cropping out unwanted areas, fixing red eye and improving contrast, color and clarity.
Tuition for this class is reduced for residents of the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges District who are taking four semester hours or less in the IECC District.
For more information or to register, contact the Student Services Office at 618-395-7777. The class begins Aug. 26.
