OCC Community Choir Concert Dec. 16

The Olney Central College Community Choir will present its annual holiday concert at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center.

Get into the holiday spirit with the OCC Community Choir as it is joined by the Richland County High School Concert Choir and special guest, Insight, an a cappella/barbershop quartet. The Community Choir is under the direction of Warren Weitkamp, the RCHS choir director and a member of Insight.

The Community Choir selections will include Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming and O Magnum Mysterium. The RCHS Concert Choir will sing Carol of the Bells, Homeward Bound and join the Community Choir for O Holy Night and Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Insight is the current 2018 Cardinal District Champions for the Barbershop Harmony Society and a 2018 Barbershop Harmony Society International competition qualifier. The quartet is comprised of Weitkamp, of Olney, Steve Bogaerts, of Greencastle, Ind., Adam Wheeley of Nashville, Tenn., and Phil Griggs of Greenwood, Ind.

Admission to the concert is free.
