Tickets for OCC Theatre's Production of 'The Foreigner' on Sale Nov. 12

Play PosterTickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12 for the Olney Central College Theatre’s production of “The Foreigner,” sponsored by First National Bank in Olney.

“The Foreigner” is a hilarious comedy by award-winning playwright Larry Shue. The story takes place in a fishing lodge in rural Georgia where two Englishmen, Froggy and Charlie, arrive as guests. The shy Charlie agrees to accompany Froggy on the trip after his sick wife begged him to go. People at the lodge try to talk to Charlie, but he remains silent, as he is terribly shy and depressed over his wife’s illness. Froggy claims Charlie cannot talk because he is a “foreigner” from an exotic country, and doesn’t understand English. Believing that he is a non-English speaker as fact, the guests quickly begin revealing their secrets, and Charlie soon discovers scandals amongst the guests.

Performances are at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23. An afternoon performance will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24. This show is rated PG due to mild adult themes and language. For detailed information on the rating, please visit
