Operational Assessment

Operational Assessment is the foundation of providing a culture of continuous improvement and operational effectiveness throughout the Illinois Eastern Community Colleges. District-wide groups (or non-academic units) establish a common mission, goals, operational/performance outcomes, and assessment strategies that align to fulfill the purposes of IECC. After analyzing assessment results, actions are created to address deficiencies or seize opportunities for growth. In many cases, it is important for individual colleges to address specific findings related to the results from their specific college. Due to this, it is highly encouraged for Operational groups to break their data down by the college to identify any gaps and report to campus leaders.

Eighteen Co-Curricular Areas assess their program outcomes annually using surveys, data collection and analysis, and in some cases, rubrics. The following groups are the Co-Curricular Areas that assess program outcomes/objectives at IECC:

  • Advisors
  • Athletics
  • Bookstores
  • Business Officers
  • Career Services Coordinators
  • Financial Aid
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • International Student Program
  • Learning Skills
  • Learning Resource Centers
  • Operations & Maintenance
  • Public Information & Marketing
  • Retention Coordinators
  • Student Records
  • TRIO Programs (Student Support Services & Upward Bound)
