Information Systems Technology

Overview

Information Systems Technology is used in almost every field. Computers and networking are vital to the health care industry, non-profit corporations, the military, governmental agencies, professional sports, high tech companies such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, and many more.

Olney Central College's Information Systems Technology (IST) Program provides a high-quality education through excellent instruction, experienced faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities. We have partnered with Cisco, a global networking hardware company which provides resources to educators such as the Cisco Networking Academy being utilized by the IST Program. This ensures our students are learning the latest industry standards from Cisco Certified Instructors while working with today’s most advanced networking equipment.

Hands-on Instruction

Our instructors utilize a hands-on learning model allowing students to apply what they are learning to as much physical equipment as possible. This hands-on instruction is completed utilizing our cutting-edge equipment. All students will have a solid foundation in computer maintenance and computer networking as well as an introduction to programming.
