Frontier Faculty Receive Innovation in Technology Teaching Awards

Four faculty members of Frontier Community College (FCC) recently received Innovation in Technology Teaching Awards from Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) for the 2019 year.  The grant provided over $12,000 in awards for faculty and will provide financial support for projects that lead to the development of innovative teaching strategies.

Automotive Technology Program at FCC Receives National Recognition


Frontier Community College (FCC) was recently recognized as the "Best Automotive Trade School by Value” in an online study published by Trade School Future.  The report used a variety of criteria to determine the top ten trade schools offering an automotive program, and FCC placed at the top of the list with its Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master-accredited Automotive Technology program.

FCC Receives $50,000 CTE Leadership Grant for EDS Program

Frontier Community College recently received a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Leadership Grant in the amount of $50,000.  The 18-month grant has been awarded by the Illinois Community College Board and will be used exclusively for the Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Program.
