Welcome! Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) understands the value of being a life-long learner. The IECC Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) is excited to offer an IECC Orientation course and three tiers of additional professional development instruction. It is important that you experience the same admission and registration process as the students in your classes. Please follow the steps below to create an IECC student account and register for the applicable CETL courses.

if instructors DO have an account created, they just need to login and register through Entrata by clicking STUDENTS on the left and then REGISTRATION on the right.

1. Go to www.iecc.edu/apply and click on Frontier Community College (regardless of what campus you work/teach, everyone will select FCC for these courses).
2. Click on CREATE ACCOUNT and enter your basic information
a. Name, Email, and Birthdate
b. Entry Term = Fall 2022 or Spring 2023
c. Admit Type = I already have a degree
d. Location = Frontier Community College
e. Program = Voc Skills General VS-VSKGE4
f. Set your password and click CREATE ACCOUNT
3. Click CREATE NEW APPLICATION and complete application.
4. After the completion of your application, you will receive an email from accounts@iecc.edu with your ENTRATA portal set up instructions.
5. Set up your ENTRATA portal
6. In Entrata, click on the STUDENT tab at the left, and then select REGISTER FOR CLASSES
7. Your PIN for this semester will be 2360
8. Pick your classes from the list below and use Self-Service to Register for your upcoming training.

Orientation Course Details:
• The course is asynchronous, self-paced, delivered via Canvas, and has defined cohort start and end dates.
• Course will take approximately 4 hours to complete.
• All new adjunct faculty must have selected and completed an Orientation course cohort before their first day of teaching class(es) at IECC. See the CETL website for cohort start and end dates.
• $125 stipend upon satisfactory, timely completion of the Orientation course.
• Required for all new IECC adjunct faculty.
• Tuition and fees for the Orientation course will be fully waived.
• CETL will monitor and report course progress to the Deans.

Tier 1/EDU 1600 Course Details:
• This course is asynchronous, self-paced, delivered via Canvas, and has defined cohort start and end dates.
• Course will take approximately 16 hours to complete.
• Adjunct instructors will enroll in and satisfactorily complete the TIER 1- EDU 1600 course concurrently in the first semester of teaching with IECC, within a termed cohort.
• $300 stipend for satisfactory completion of the course within the termed cohort.
• Upon timely, successful completion of TIER 1 – EDU 1600, adjuncts will receive a next step pay increase of twenty dollars, per equated hour.
o For example, adjuncts currently being paid $535 per equated hour, would increase to$555 per equated credit hour.
• Base pay increase effective at the beginning of the semester following course completion.
• Tuition and fees for TIER 1 – EDU 1600 course will be fully waived.
• CETL will monitor and report course progress to the Deans.

Tier 2/EDU 1605 Course Details:
• This course is asynchronous, self-paced, delivered via Canvas, and has defined cohort start and end dates.
• Course will take approximately 16 hours to complete.
• Adjunct instructors will enroll in and satisfactorily complete the TIER 2 – EDU 1605 course within the first 12 months of employment, within a termed cohort.
• $300 stipend for satisfactory completion of the course within the termed cohort.
• Upon timely, successful completion of TIER 2 – EDU 1605, adjuncts will receive a next step pay increase of twenty dollars, per equated hour.
o For example, adjuncts currently being paid $555 per equated hour, would increase to $575 per equated credit hour.
• Base pay increase effective at the beginning of the semester following course completion.
• Tuition and fees for TIER 2 – EDU 1605 course will be fully waived.
• CETL will monitor and report course progress to the Deans.

Badging Details:
• After completing the IECC Orientation course, TIER 1 – EDU 1600, and TIER 2 – EDU 1605, adjunct instructors will be able to receive the Educator Excellence Badge and move on to TIER 3 of training.
• To complete the Educator Excellence Badge, adjunct instructors must:
1. Choose an upcoming course to be evaluated within 12 months of satisfactorily completing the TIER 1 - EDU 1600 and TIER 2 – EDU 1605 coursework.
2. Use the Educator Excellence form, which can be found by clicking HERE, to request a course evaluation date and time.
3. Complete and submit the Self-Evaluation form, and email to cetl@iecc.edu. The Self-evaluation .PDF document should be downloaded and saved to your personal computer prior to completion.

4. Evaluation date to be coordinated collaboratively with CETL and adjunct instructor.
Tier 3 Course Details:
• After completing the Educator Excellence Badging process, adjunct faculty are expected to engage in ongoing professional development as a condition of continued employment, earning a minimum of 1, TIER 3 or above, credit every two years.
• The CETL will continue to make available educational opportunities and TIER 3 professional development courses for adjunct faculty to choose from.
• $300 stipend will be provided at the completion of 1 credit hour of TIER 3 professional development – a maximum of 1 credit hour is reimbursable every two years.
• Upon timely, successful completion of a TIER 3 course, adjuncts will receive a next step pay increase of twenty dollars, per equated hour.
o Adjuncts are eligible for this TIER 3 base pay increase one time only.
• Base pay increase effective at the beginning of the semester following the completion of TIER 3 course(s) totaling 1 credit hour.
• Tuition and fees for TIER 3 courses will be fully waived.
• CETL will monitor and report course progress to the Deans.
