Adult Education

Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) is committed to delivering exceptional education and strengthening its communities.  Part of that mission includes the Adult Education and Family Literacy (AEFL) Program, which helps individuals achieve their educational goals.

The AEFL is a grant-funded program that offers a variety of courses to meet the diverse needs of its enrolled individuals. Classes and supportive services are offered at no cost to students.  The program curriculum and instruction are aligned with the current high school standards as well as career-and-college-readiness expectations.  Some examples of AEFL courses include GED Test Preparation, Healthcare Bridge, Adult Basic Education, Parenting, and more.
