The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees will meet at 7:00 p.m. November 19, 2019, at Frontier Community College in Fairfield.

The annual Wabash Valley College Foundation Chili Supper will be held on Wednesday, November 20 with serving from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Red Café. Foundation Directors will be serving delicious chili, hot dogs, sandwiches, and homemade desserts.  Carry-outs are also available.  Bring your family out for the Chili Supper, and then why not attend the Lady Warriors and Warriors basketball games in the Spencer Sports Center with the Lady Warriors playing Olney Central College at 5:30 and the Warriors playing at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for Chili and Drink (FREE refills on Chili), or 2 Hot Dogs, Dessert & Drink, or 2 Sandwiches, Dessert & Drink.  Extra Hot Dog or Sandwich is $1.  Desserts are $1. Tickets are available from any Foundation Director or in the WVC Administration/Foundation Building on the WVC Campus.

Illinois Eastern Community Colleges will be closed Thursday, November 28 through Friday, November 29, 2019 in observance of Thanksgiving.  All IECC colleges: FCC, LTC, OCC, WVC, and the District Office will be closed and no classes will meet.  Regular business hours and scheduled classes will resume on Monday, December 2, 2019.

If you are interested in recertifying your Illinois Concealed Carry Permit, now is your opportunity to enroll in the IECC Concealed Carry Recertification course that provides the 3 hours of required training.  This course is for any Illinois Concealed Carry permit holder that needs to take the recertification training. 

Five years ago, in the fall of 2013, Illinois Eastern Community Colleges started offering the Concealed Carry Program.   The first students through the program must now take this recertification course to be recertified. 

Training includes:  Updates to the Law; Changes to the FOID Act and Unlawful Use of Weapons; Review of Handgun Fundamentals; Dry and Live Fire Drills. 

Pre-registration is required.  MUST have your Illinois Concealed Carry Permit to take the Recertification Class. The class will be offered from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30 at the Advanced Technology Building on West Third Street.  D Ray Etzkorn is the instructor.  The cost of the 3-hour Recertification class is $50.   For more information or to get registered, contact the Student Services Office:  Wabash Valley College-Mt.
