It is important to review copyright guidelines periodically, especially Fair Use Guidelines as they apply to educators, in order to avoid copyright violations and to take advantage of new ways of delivering information to students that new technologies make possible.
The increased availability of online subscription services, use of courseware such as Web CT in distance learning, the need for materials for online courses, and the increasing number of digital projects have created a need for information sources to help us be aware of current practices and to help us use materials appropriately.
