System
An account allows you access to a particular system. Below explains the primary accounts at IECC and their access/purpose.
There are three main accounts you may use at IECC. Keep in mind your UserID and Password are specific to the system you are logging into and in some cases may not be the same and/or may expire at different times.

All accounts allow you varying access levels to sensitive and confidential information and you should NEVER share nor write down your UserIDs or passwords. You are responsible for the security of your account!

Network and Email
Password Reset - Every 35 days
A network account refers to an account on our Microsoft Active Directory system that allow you to login to your work computer and email account. All employees full and part time should have an account. This account allows you access to your @iecc.edu email. This account is used to authenticate against other systems as well in some cases this might be wireless access, VPN or Entrata. Your supervisor or college administration will complete an IT Service Request form to activate your account.

  • You are assigned a UserID by IT and the format is generally <<LastNameFirstLetterOfFirstName>> John Doe = doej
  • Passwords must be 8 characters long or longer and meet the following criteria:
    • Contain a uppercase letter OR a special character
    • Contain a lowercase letter
    • Contain a number
    • or Special Character in place an item above
  • Resetting cannot be the same as any password used in the lat 12 months

Banner
Password Reset - Every 35 days
Banner account refers to an account that will allow you access to the Banner Administrative system that you will access via INB or Citrix then INB. Specific rights are assigned to your account. Your supervisor or college administration will complete an IT Service Request form to activate your account.

  • You are assigned a UserID by IT and the format is generally <<LastNameFirstLetterOfFirstName>> John Doe = doej
  • Passwords must be 8 characters long or longer and meet the following criteria:
    • Contain a uppercase letter
    • Contain a lowercase letter
    • Contain a number
    • CANNOT use special characters
  • Ressetting must be a minimum of three characters different from previous password

Entrata Portal
Password Reset - Required twice a year Spring and Fall mid-term.
Entrata Portal account allows:
Students access to @my.iecc.edu email, student records, courses, LMS, and other services. Faculty access to @my.iecc.edu email, course listings, rosters, student records and other services. Employees access to @my.iecc.edu email, time sheets, leave balances, tax information and other services.

  • You are assigned a UserID by Entrata when you create your account and the format is generally <<LastNameFirstLetterOfFirstName>> John Doe = doej
  • Passwords must be 8 characters long or longer and meet the following criteria:
    • Contain a uppercase letter
    • Contain a lowercase letter
    • Contain a number
    • CANNOT use special characters
