Statesmen Singers
This award-winning vocal ensemble is a community favorite. The Statesmen perform choral repertoire of all eras with an emphasis on vocal jazz. This group has entertained audiences at Cardinals-Cubs games in St. Louis’ Busch Stadium; the Magic Kingdom’s Galaxy Palace Theater at Disney World; the Vocal Jazz Festival at Carnegie Hall in New York City; the Music Festival in New Orleans; on a Caribbean cruise; and at jazz festivals in the Midwest. The group performs on the fall and spring concerts, on the annual Jazz Day evening performance, and on tour each year. Admission to the ensemble is via audition and is tuition free to residents within the community college district. Statesmen Singers is directed by Jeshua Franklin.
