Jazz Band
The Lincoln Trail College Jazz Band performs old and new arrangements of standard jazz classics. They perform in the fall and spring concerts as well as on Jazz Day. Admission to the ensemble is open to any person high-school age or older and is tuition free to residents within the community college district. Jazz Band is directed by Don Correll.
Jazz Day is an annual event during the winter hosting artist/clinicians such as Denis DiBlasio, Alan Wise, and Allen Vizzutti. These artists present an evening concert in conjunction with the Jazz Band and the Statesmen Singers. Prior to the concert, a clinic/workshop is given to invited high school and college students on jazz techniques and experiences.
