Head Coach Ashley Gordon
Ashley Gordon is the head coach of the Lincoln Trail Softball Team. Gordon has gained perspective on the LTC program after being a 2-year starter for the Lady Statesmen where she was not only needed as a catcher and at first base but also at the plate. Between her two years at LTC, Gordon was on a USA International Softball Team. She played for former LTC Coach Shannon Emmons in Holland. Their team won the tournament easily. In 2007, as a sophomore, Gordon was one of the Region 24 Champs. Ashley was named the tournament MVP with 3 homeruns, 13 RBIs and a batting average of .583 for the tournament. Gordon was also named to the All Conference and NJCAA All Region and All Tournament teams in 2007.
Before showcasing her talents at LTC, Gordon was a four-year starter at Hutsonville High School. Hutsonville is where Gordon was able to grow into the competitive player that she was at Lincoln Trail. She was taught here that defense is as important, if not more important than the offensive side of the game. Nancy Guyer was the one constant coach who guided Ashley through her high school years.
Ashley came back to LTC last year as the assistant softball coach. She helped Head Coach Rachael Killinger with the 2009-2010 softball season. That season prepared Coach Gordon for the coming season more than she thought possible. She is very eager to get this year under way.
