The following describes how students gain access to Entrata, instructional Tools and WebCT (Online Learning) at IECC.

Entrata ID Card
Students, Faculty, and Employees can all access Entrata. To create an Entrata account simply obtain an Entrata PIN (6 digit number) from the Student Services office. Students receive an Entrata ID card like the one shown below when they first register at IECC and its four colleges. Duplicate cards are also sent to students when they register for an online course right before a semester starts as a reminder.

Creating An Entrata Account
Next the individual must go online and create their Entrata account. Directions on the card describe where to go and how to start. Students will access entrata at http://entrata.iecc.edu or from the main IECC page at www.iecc.edu.

Once the account is created the student, faculty , or employee now has access to all the resources online with this single sign-on. This includes course material, library services, grades, transcripts, employee records, WebCT, and Entrata email.
How Faculty Know A Student Has Entered Entrata And Completed CIS 1104/Waived
In Entrata under "Faculty Services" is a list of courses being taught for the given semester. Each course has a "Roster" icon, click on this icon to access the roster for that course. You will see a list of students in the course and their status. The small red checkmark shown below indicates that the student has created their Entrata account.

On the line with an arrow under the CIS1104 column you will see either a blank square or green square with or without a date. The white square indicates that the student has NOT completed CIS1104 nor been waived from the class. The green dot indicates completion of CIS1104 or waiver from the class.
Students Access to WebCT and Entrata Instructional Tools
Students will access their services under the "Student Services" link in Entrata.
There the student will see a list of all the courses they are taking for the given semester.
IF.... You are using WebCT for a fully online class or hybrid the student will initially see a grayed out icon (3) for WebCT, this indicates the class is not yet accessible because the start date has not been met (1). The student may also see a message regarding the completion of CIS1104. Once the start date (1) is met the icon (3) will be full and students will be taken directly to WebCT (No additional login) and view a list of all their WebCT courses. Hybrid classes do not require the completion of CIS1104. Student can access information about the class anytime after it is posted by the faculty teaching the course. This information is accessible through the "Course Information" link (2).
And/Or
IF.... You are using the Entrata Instructional Tools then the student will see the "Course Material" link (4) and be able to click on this link to access your course material. This ONLY shows when you have turned access on inside the Instructional tools.
